Hi, my name is Sadie. I am a Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) practitioner and qualified teacher with more than 20 years’ experience working with autistic children and young people with learning disabilities and complex behavioural needs.
I have worked across education and specialist services, supporting families, schools, and multidisciplinary teams to understand and respond to behaviours of concern in ways that improve quality of life.
I have also held senior leadership roles within the UK’s largest autism charity, supporting services working with autistic adults with learning disabilities and complex needs.
My practice is grounded in the principles of Positive Behaviour Support, with a focus on:
• understanding the function of behaviour
• developing capable environments
• improving communication and quality of life
• reducing restrictive practices
My work combines professional expertise with lived experience as a parent navigating neurodivergence and school anxiety.
I currently provide independent consultation and advice for parents seeking specialist guidance outside of statutory systems.
My focus is on helping families move beyond managing behaviour to understanding what behaviour is communicating.
